Swami Chidanandaji's Ranchi Ashram Visit

Our revered president and spiritual head, Sri Sri Swami Chidananda Giri, has been in India from mid October 2019 to preside over special programmes at three major Indian cities.

After finishing his first programme at Noida, he came to the YSS Ranchi ashram to spend the next 10 days of his stay. He then visited Hyderabad and Mumbai, where he concludes his tour.

Swamiji was welcomed by YSS monks and devotees at the Ranchi ashram with reverence, devotion, and love.

During his stay at Ranchi, he met devotees, government officials, and media. He also conducted a sannyas vow ceremony for two YSS monks.

On the occasion of Diwali on October 27, Swami Chidanandaji gave a talk on bringing the light of God into our lives. It was attended by more than 800 people. This was followed by prasad distribution.

Devotees felt uplifted by his presence and his love for all. One devotee wrote, “His love for India and the whole ensemble of devotees, whether Indian or from other shores, was so evident that he could hardly conceal it. Each time he crossed us or smiled at us while we waited by a pathway his eyes gleamed and told us that we were loved — by him and by our Gurudeva.”

Here we share a few photos of his stay at Ranchi.
