Devotees of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) may bring their children between ages five to twelve years to Yogoda Satsanga Sakha Math, Ranchi for Children Satsanga on Sundays from 10 am to 12 noon.
The purpose of Children Satsanga is to inspire children to seek and love God, so that they understand that inner peace and security are found through an inner relationship with God and not through "the things of this world." Children thus learn at an early age how to live happy and balanced lives by bringing the Divine into their daily activities.
The Children's Satsanga classes are open to all children interested in learning about the YSS teachings and way of life.
Volunteers lead the little ones through a few Energization Exercises and a brief period of guided meditation where the children learn to still their bodies and turn their minds inward. This is followed by a story-telling, in which a spiritual theme which is interesting and applicable in their young lives is presented through a story.
Those devotees who wish to inculcate spiritual habits in their children from an early age are encouraged to bring them for these programmes. In order to familiarize children with the Yogoda Satsanga line of Gurus, and their “How-to-Live” teachings, special programmes are conducted to commemorate events such as Janmashtami, Christmas, and avirbhav and mahasamadhi days of our Guru and Paramgurus.
